Privacy notice

Your information, handled properly.

This notice explains how InnoTel Designs collects and uses personal information when you contact us, submit a project enquiry or work with us.

Who is responsible?

InnoTel Designs, Guernsey, Channel Islands, is the controller of the personal information described here. For privacy questions, email john@innoteldesigns.co.uk.

Information we collect

  • Your name, company, email address and any phone number you choose to provide.
  • The service, site type and project details included in an enquiry.
  • Correspondence, instructions, drawings and records created while discussing or delivering work.
  • Limited technical and security information generated by the website and hosting systems, such as IP address and server logs.

Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, discuss requirements, provide quotations, take steps before entering into a contract, deliver agreed services, keep business and project records, protect the website and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business, or compliance with a legal obligation.

Who receives it

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only where necessary with service providers that support the website, email, hosting and business systems, with professional advisers, or where disclosure is required by law. Providers are expected to protect the information and use it only for the relevant service.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate legal safeguard is in place.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as it is needed. Enquiry correspondence that does not become a project is normally retained for up to 24 months. Client, project, contractual and accounting records may be retained for up to six years, or longer where a legal, insurance or dispute-related reason requires it.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017, you may have rights to information, access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Rights depend on the circumstances and are not always absolute. Contact us first if you want to exercise a right.

You can also raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Authority.

Cookies and analytics

The website currently uses only technical cookies and storage needed for the site, security and WordPress administration. We do not currently use advertising cookies or active visitor analytics. If that changes, this notice and any consent controls will be updated before non-essential tracking is enabled.

Enquiry form

Details submitted through the enquiry form are used to respond to your request and are sent to the site administrator by email. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the project.
